Ger Carriere enters a new arena with her latest single, “Honeybees,” an offering from her upcoming EP. While her previous work has focused on edges, attitude, and sensuality, the new song is more open, more carefree, yet more thoughtful. The following single, “Are You My Type,” continues to build on this momentum, achieving #3 on the “Saskatchewan Indigenous Top 5 Countdown.” It’s not so much a rise to fame as it is building to it.

With “Honeybees,” Carriere once again expands her scope, entering another space but remaining utterly recognizable. It’s a change in tone rather than identity, and another step forward for her ahead of her upcoming EP release.
