The 2026 Oscars were announced on Sunday evening, and left the usual mix of less-than-delighted, outraged, and bewildered fans in its wake.
The event, held inside the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, was hosted by Conan O’Brien.
In a viral moment from the ceremony, O’Brien pointed out, “It’s the first time since 2012 that there are no British actors nominated for best actor or best actress,” and added, “A British spokesperson said, ‘Yeah, well, at least we arrest our pedophiles.’”
