Junior Josiah Richardson performed on Saturday, Feb. 21, at the KSHSAA State Piano Festival. He qualified for State after receiving a 1 rating at district piano. The State Piano Festival took place in Wichita, where Richardson received a high 1 rating, receiving a score of 78 out of 80.
The next weekend, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 27 and Feb. 28, Richardson was back in Wichita for All-State Choir. He had two days of clinics and practices and then performed in the mixed choir on Saturday.
“I enjoyed the experiences and loved working with the vocal clinician at All State Choir,” Richardson said.
Richardson will present a free-will donation concert at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 23, at the NorthRidge Church. The proceeds from the concert will help cover the cost of attending a two-week music camp at Wheaton College this summer.
