HBO’s freshman comedy series Rooster and HBO Max’s drama pilot How To Survive Without Me already had momentum for a Season 2 renewal and a series order, respectively. The pickup chances for both Warner Bros. Television-produced shows have now further improved as they have been awarded tax credits from the California Tax Commission.
The potential second season of Rooster and first season of How To Survive Without Me have each received a $21M credit, which will be applied if/when they are ordered. That translates to a different level of reimbursement because Rooster‘s seasons consist of ten 30-minute episodes while How To Survive Without Me falls under The Pitt model of 15 hourlong episodes a season.
