Beatrice and Eugenie expected to ‘fade into the background’ before ultimately ‘losing royal titles’

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie‘s days with royal titles are reportedly numbered.

Following Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor‘s arrest over his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, the sisters are subtly being phased out of The Firm.

“In my view, in the future, they will end up losing their royal titles,” expert Richard Palmer told The Mirror.

“I think we’re going to see a lot less of them. They obviously want to keep a low profile at the moment, and in future, I think they’ll just fade into the background,” he predicted.

Trouble began after the close friendships their father and mother, Sarah Ferguson, had with the late criminal were exposed when the U.S. Department released additional files related to Epstein.

As the scandal continues, Beatrice and Eugenie have reportedly been asked not to attend any public functions related to the royal family.

“It’s likely that this is still going to be rumbling on for many months, if not years, and it won’t look brilliant, if, for example, Beatrice and Eugenie are at Ascot in a carriage going down the course with 70,000 people watching while they’re involved in one way or another in the controversy surrounding their parents,” Palmer explained.

While the siblings still have their honors, the commentator believes they may want to start over without them.

“It might be cleaner for all involved,” Palmer said. “Being princesses who are non-working royals is confusing for people already because they have titles, but they don’t do anything for the monarchy, they don’t do anything for the nation.”

“They’re essentially just private individuals who get privileges of being members of the royal family — but they’re probably going to have to say goodbye to some of those privileges which they’ve enjoyed for a long, long time,” he added.

Beatrice and Eugenie will have a lot to adjust to after living their entire lives in the lavish lifestyle the monarchy provides.

“They were welcomed in royal palaces around the world,” he noted. “I don’t know if it’s still the case, but when they were traveling with their mother when they were younger, British Embassy officials would meet them when they got off the plane, even though they were on a private trip.”

While King Charles III has been hesitant to kick his nieces out of the royal fold, the people of England won’t stand for a monarch being associated with Epstein.

“I think the public are becoming increasingly unwilling to put up with all of that and whether it happens under King Charles III or King William V, I think there’ll be a reckoning for the princesses and they’ll probably have to give up those apartments, and give up their titles,” Palmer said.
