The circus is coming back to town this weekend courtesy of the Carden Circus Spectacular, an act that annually puts on shows at Heartland Credit Union Arena in Park City. Its visit will span three days and four performances, and tickets to the opening night show are all $9.

The circus is one of several fun events happening in and around Wichita this weekend. Below are details on the circus plus more ideas for how Wichitans can spend their free time.

Three-day circus

The Carden Circus Spectacular is returning to Park City for a three-day, multi-show run at Heartland Credit Union Arena, 8151 N. Arena Drive. It will feature aerial acrobats, horses, ponies, performing dogs and more and runs Friday through Sunday at the venue. Shows will happen at 6:30 p.m. on Friday (when general admission tickets are all $9); at 2 and 6 p.m. on Saturday; and at 3 p.m. on Sunday. People who show up an hour before can participate in pre-show activities like elephant, camel and horse rides. Saturday and Sunday tickets range from $20 to $30 at www.ticketmaster.com. Harlem Globetrotters

The Harlem Globetrotters will bring their “100 Year Tour”” to Wichita on Sunday. Their show at Intrust Bank Arena, 500 E. Waterman, will feature basketball superstars showing off their skills and going head to head for a game that will feature dunks, four-point shots and other feats of athleticism. The event starts at 3 p.m. Tickets are $41 to $147, and fans also can add on extras like a pre-show event for $32.50 or a celebrity court pass for $125.50. TobyMac returns

Seven-time Grammy winner TobyMac will perform a show at Intrust Bank Arena, 500 E. Waterman, on Saturday as part of his “Hits Deep Tour 2026.” TobyMac is a Christian hip-hop rapper and singer best known for his songs like “I Just Need U” and “Love Broke Thru.” Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the concert will start at 7 p.m. with opening acts Crowder and Jeremy Camp. Tickets range from $44 to $70 and can be purchased at the Select-A-Seat outlet at Intrust Bank Arena, by calling 316-755-7328 or at www.selectaseat.com

Movie Night Made for Makers

Exploration Place at 300 N. McLean is continuing its movie series for makers, which it’s calling “Craft Cinema.” The events happen once a month through June, starting on Tuesday, and are intended for people who want to watch a movie and be quietly social while working on small-project crafts like knitting, crocheting, cross stitching, coloring and sketching. The movies will last from 6 to 9 p.m. and will be shown in the Kemper Theater, where the museum’s science shows usually happen. The March movie will be the 1992 film “A League of Their Own,” followed by “Clueless” on April 28, “10 Things I Hate About You” on May 26, and “Steel Magnolias” on June 23. The movie nights are intended for people 14 and older. Tickets are $12 for members, $15 for nomembers at exploration.org/tickets/

Country rap at Wave

Wave, the music venue at 650 E. Second St., will be the site on Friday of a show by Struggle Jennings, a country rapper known for the hit “God We Need to Know.” Jennings is the step-grandson of country legend Waylon Jennings. The show starts at 8 p.m. with opening act Kazpyr, and the doors open at 7 p.m. It’s be open to all ages, and tickets are $33.05 at waveict.com

Free admission for WAM exhibit

The Wichita Art Museum at 1400 Museum Blvd. is offering free admission to its “Alex Katz: Theater and Dance” exhibit from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. The show brings performing arts and visual arts together in an exploration of 98-year-old artist Katz’s collaborations with choreographers, dancers and avant-garde theater ensembles. While at the museum on Saturday, people can participate in the museum’s Family ArtVenture, which will last from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature a shadow puppet play, a storytime with dancers and art projects. The touring Katz exhibit will be at the museum through May 10.
