Well, that didn’t take long at all: Mere weeks after promising new music, indie kingpins Interpol made good by unveiling a new song called “See Out Loud” during a March 19th concert at São Paulo, Brasil’s Audio venue. They played it again the following night during their set at Lollapalooza Brasil.
There’s a couple noteworthy takeaways from this ditty. For one, guitarist Daniel Kessler takes the mic for a rare showing, and his styling has a different, heftier presence/sheen compared to Banks. The song also leans more into Interpol’s danceable tendencies, with the whole thing sounding like a disco-tinged Antics deep cut. Check out fan-captured footage below.
As noted earlier, Urian Hackney has been sitting in for drummer Sam Fogarino during the band’s recent dates. However, the band stressed that the move is only temporary, and that Fogarino “played and co-wrote the new [as-yet-unannounced] record.”

Following their ongoing run of South American shows, Interpol will play west coast dates in the US around their appearance at Coachella in April. For the remainder of the year, they will tour the UK, Europe, and Australia. Tickets can be purchased here.
