Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson, the ex-wife of disgraced former Prince Andrew, has denied reports she is planning to clone Queen Elizabeth‘s beloved corgis for television.
In a statement shared with People, Fergie rejected claims she intended to star in a new reality series in which she would sell clones of the late Queen’s corgis, Muick and Sandy, which she and Andrew took in following the monarch’s death.
“Ms Ferguson regularly receives varied TV offers and proposals — often for reality shows which she always declines,” Ferguson’s representative said.

“To be absolutely clear, she declined the proposal regarding a reality TV show involving the late Queen’s corgis”.
“She received the proposal following some initial conversations with Halcyon media to discuss a potential program on dogs generally,” the statement continued.
“But conversations ended following her declining the opportunity suggested.”
Daily Mail claimed in May 2023, eight months after the Queen’s death in September 2022, Ferguson allegedly spoke with multiple production companies in the US about featuring the late monarch’s surviving corgis in a show.
According to the UK tabloid, producers developed a synopsis after speaking with Ferguson, outlining how the proposed reality cloning series would unfold.
It read: “When Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, is bequeathed two of the Queen’s beloved corgis, she decides to embark on a bold and controversial business venture — cloning the royal pups.
“But as she navigates the complex world of genetics and royal protocol, Sarah must also grapple with her own personal demons and strained relationship with the royal family.”
The Daily Mail claimed Ferguson’s income had been “dramatically impacted” by King Charles’ decision to slash Andrew’s allowance following the Queen’s death.
The alleged synopsis continued: “Fergie was thrilled to learn that she had been remembered in the Queen’s will, but surprised to learn that rather than jewellery or money, the Queen left her two of her beloved Corgis.”
Queen Elizabeth II was a lifelong animal lover, owning more than 30 corgis and “dorgi” mixes over the course of her life. Muick and Sandy were the only two to outlive her and were present at her funeral in September 2022.
Royal author Richard Fitzwilliams told the Daily Mail that to even “consider cloning the late Queen’s beloved dogs for financial gain is unbelievably grotesque and utterly bizarre”.
