These 57 MLB.com staff members are predicting that Witt, the superstar shortstop for the Royals, will finish the 2026 season as the AL hitter with the best batting average, and the second-most stolen bases in the conference, only behind Chandler Simpson.
Witt is an incredible player, and he’s shown the ability to be a great hitter for average and a fantastic base-stealing threat in the Majors already.

When it comes to stealing bases, Witt has already stolen 148 bases in his four years in the Majors. He even had 49 in 2023.
