Princess Charlotte could be set to attend a prestigious school located just minutes from the Prince and Princess of Wales’s home in Windsor. The young royal, who will celebrate her 11th birthday at the start of May, is currently a student at Lambrook School in Berkshire, but the school only caters for students up until the age of 13.

While her brother Prince George is set to move schools later this year, with the chosen one still unknown, Charlotte will soon be following his footsteps in two years’ time. Speaking in the latest episode of HELLO!’s A Right Royal Podcast, Melanie Sanderson, managing editor of The Good Schools Guide, revealed that Wellington College in Berkshire is one contender for Prince William‘s only daughter.

Melanie said: “I’ve been told Wellington is a possible school for Princess Charlotte.

“I suspect with the royals that the normal rules possibly don’t apply. I feel as though they may be holding multiple places at different schools.”

Wellington College, which has fees ranging from £15,250-per-term for day pupils and £20,750 for boarders, is a 15-minute drive from the family’s home, Forest Lodge.

Meanwhile, Prince George is expected to attend Prince William and Prince Harry‘s former school, Eton College.

Wellington College is also a co-educational school which means that Prince Louis, who will celebrate his eighth birthday next month, could also later join his big sister.

Melanie added: “If Charlotte is going to a co-ed, it might be that they would want her to be joined by her brother Louis. Logistically, that would work for them really, really well. It’s 15 to 20 minutes straight down the M4 from Windsor Castle. With security, maybe ten minutes. It’s a nice, easy journey.”

As well as Wellington, another contender is said to be Marlborough College, which was previously attended by Charlotte’s mum, Princess Catherine.
