JonasCon 2025 at American Dream: Watch band celebrate 20 years

Multiple New Jersey celebrities will be receiving Disney’s highest honor this summer when they are presented with the prestigious Disney Legends Award.
Wyckoff’s Nick, Kevin, and Joe Jonas, aka the Jonas Brothers, and Millburn’s Anne Hathaway are among the recipients of this year’s Disney Legends Award, representing “the extraordinary breadth of talent and storytellers who have defined Disney across entertainment, storytelling, and experiences for generations.”
The Disney Legends Award ceremony will mark the final day of D:23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, which will take place in Anaheim, California on Aug. 14, 15, and 16.
“It’s an honor to celebrate our Disney Legends – their impact is felt in everything we do and recognizing them alongside the fans who love their work is what makes this event so meaningful,” Josh D’Amaro, chief executive officer of The Walt Disney Company said in a news release.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Garden State’s honorees.
The Jonas Brothers
The Jonas Brothers, comprised of Nick, Kevin, and Joe, were raised in Wyckoff.
While the band was formed in 2005, they took off around 2008 when Disney Channel’s “Camp Rock” was released. The trio also starred in “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam,” as well as a series called “Jonas,” which ran from 2009 to 2010.
Throughout their career, as detailed by Disney, the Jonas Brothers have sold more than 20 million albums, garnered two Gammy nominations, earned 26 Billboard Hot 100 hits, generated billions of streams, and logged three consecutive No. 1 debuts on the Billboard 200.
They have been recognized as global popstars both as a group and as individuals.
In 2025, the Jonas Brothers celebrated their 20th anniversary as a band. They kicked off the unforgettable year with JONASCON at the American Dream Mall, followed by the release of their brand-new album “Greetings from Your Hometown,” and their highly anticipated “JONAS20: Greetings from Your Hometown” Tour, which began at MetLife Stadium Aug. 10.
According to Disney, the trio will soon be returning to the screen with the release of “Camp Rock 3.”
Anne Hathaway
Although she was born in Brooklyn, Anne Hathaway spent most of her childhood living in Millburn.
The award-winning actress has held several iconic roles such as Fantine in “Les Misérables,” and Andy Sachs in “The Devil Wears Prada,” among many others.
Hathaway’s Disney career began with her iconic performance as Mia Thermopolis in both “The Princess Diaries” in 2001 and “The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement” in 2004. These films are described by Disney as “starring-vessels that firmly planted her Hollywood roots at the feet of adoring fanbases across the globe.”
How to watch the Disney legends ceremony
Ryan Seacrest will return as the host of the ceremony, which will take place on Sunday, Aug. 16 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
As detailed in a news release from Disney, the event will feature tributes and “unforgettable moments” to honor and celebrate the Disney icons.
The ceremony will be available to stream on Disney+.
