The former Duke of York is mentioned several times in the bombshell Epstein files and was arrested last month on suspicion of misconduct in public office after documents suggested he may have shared confidential information with the convicted paedophile during his time as the UK’s trade envoy. Andrew was held in custody for 11 hours before being released under investigation. He has always denied any wrongdoing.
Nadine Dorries, former Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, claimed she had met the princess and had nothing but good things to say about her.
She claimed that Beatrice is “an emotional individual, who wants everyone to be happy”.
Ms Dorries told the Daily Mail: “I think I know enough about Beatrice now to know she’ll put her family first, herself last.
“There isn’t a person I have spoken to who isn’t rooting for her. The time has now come for her to start doing the same for herself.”
It comes after stories claimed Beatrice and her sister have been “banned” from eight royal events following their parents’ Epstein humiliation.
The two sisters are reportedly expected to be absent from various royal events, including the annual Easter Sunday church service, Royal Ascot, the summer garden parties, and the Christmas gathering at Sandringham in December.
