Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was pictured near his home on Saturday inspecting horses in a field close to his home on the Sandringham estate. The 66-year-old was seen joined by another man – likely a member of staff – as they were spotted pointing over to the horses.
Following his arrest on suspicion of misconduct in public office last month, Andrew was urged by royal aides to stop riding around the estate. Proir to his arrest, and release under investigation later that day, Andrew was often seen riding around near his former home, Royal Lodge in Windsor.
A source told The Sun last month: “Since his arrest last week he has been ordered not to go horse riding. It’s considered a bad look. They don’t think he should be seen grinning and smiling on his horse like he was in Windsor.
“But it was one of the few things he actually enjoyed doing so what on earth is he going to do with his time?”
The riding ban follows the voluntary surrender of his gun licence to the police in 2025, which ultimately ended another of his hobbies.
The disgraced royal held the role of the UK’s trade envoy from 2001 to 2011, with the role giving him privileged access to senior Government and business contacts across the world.
The emails exchanged by Ghislaine and “Individual-5” have been cited as evidence supporting sex claims the FBI’s US court application in June 2020 for permission to search Epstein’s homes, The Sun on Sunday reported.
The emails in court match some already seen in the Epstein files between “The Invisible Man” – which is said to be Andrew – and Maxwell. The former prince has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing.
