Gizelle Bryant‘s daughter recreated one of her mom’s iconic photos.
On Monday, March 30, the Real Housewives of Potomac star’s daughter, Adore, 19, shared a post on Instagram, recreating one of her mom’s old sorority photos. In the first photo, the teen showed herself after being initiated into Alpha Kappa Alpha, wearing a green beret, black jacket, white and a pink bag on her shoulder.
The next image was a throwback of her mom wearing a similar outfit and matching the same facial expression as her daughter’s when she was first initiated into the organization.
“Legacy. I have fulfilled a life long dream of entering into the sisterhood Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. A dream that completes my mother’s legacy,” the 19-year-old wrote. “To you, Soror Mommy, I thank you for showing me the meaning of lifelong sisterhood and service.”
“As I follow in the footsteps of the distinguished Gamma Theta women whom have come before me, I am forever grateful for the ability to be apart of something GreaTer,” she continued. “To my Gorgeous and Talented line sisters, I thank you all for pouring into me endless love, support, and sisterhood that will last a lifetime. Beauty Unparalleled, Grace Undefined, An Alpha Kappa Alpha Woman is one of a kind. 45 ΓΘ 90 52 ΓΘ 26.”
The proud mom, who became a member of AKA in 1990, shared her excitement about her daughter’s special moment entering the sorority in the comments.
“36 years later!!! This makes me cry. 🥲 #Legacy like no other!” she commented. “I love you Adore 🩷💚 Skee Wee My Soror Skee Wee.”
While appearing as a guest on an November 2024 episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, Bryant shared her experience dropping off all three of her daughters — Grace, 21, and twins Angel and Adore — at three different colleges back-to-back.
“I have three girls that I dropped off,” began the proud mom, who shares her children with her ex-husband, Jamal Bryant. “So Grace is my oldest, and she goes to Florida A&M in Tallahassee, Florida. She’s a sophomore.”
She continued, “And then I have twins. So I dropped them off, one in Atlanta, one in Hampton, Virginia.” Angel is studying at Spelman College in Atlanta, while Adore “is going to the school the school I graduated from,” Hampton University in Virginia.
“That was tough,” Bryant admitted of the experience. “I had to drop off three girls, three different cities, in 72 hours.”

Ahead of her twin daughter’s going to college, the doting mom shared advice with her youngest children. Bryant told PEOPLE exclusively that she took a “do as I say, not as I did” approach to prepare her twin daughters for their freshman year of college — at least when it comes to laundry.
“When I left for school in August, I didn’t wash my clothes until I went back home for Thanksgiving break,” she recalled of her college days at Hampton University. “When I ran out of underwear, I would just buy more. I told them, ‘Don’t do that! That’s disgusting! Don’t do what Mommy did.’”
Bryant knew she didn’t have much cause to worry about her twins. “They’re light years past where I was at their age,” she admitted. “So excited about their future, and planning to make sure they meet their goals. It’s an honor to see them grow.”
