Easter egg hunt in Harborcreek: Kids search for eggs at annual event

Many kids took part in the fourth annual Easter egg hunt at Harborcreek Volunteer Fire Department, 7275 Buffalo Road, on Sunday, April 13, 2025.

  • The Erie area will host a variety of entertainment events throughout April, including comedy shows, concerts and theater productions.
  • Several well-known comedians, such as Steve-O and Colin Mochrie, are scheduled to perform at local venues.
  • Musical offerings include tribute acts for The Eagles and Bruce Springsteen, as well as the “Bat out of Hell” musical.

There’s no fooling around when it comes to the amount of entertainment in April in the Erie area.

  • Jackie Flynn: April 4 at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. at Kellar’s Modern Magic and Comedy Club at 1402 State St. Jackie Flynn is an actor and comedian with prominent standup appearances, as well as extensive film credits to his name. Tickets are $25 plus fees and can be purchased on Kellar’s website or by calling 814-461-0911.
  • Sam Miller: April 5 at 7 p.m. at Werner Books and Coffee at 3608 Liberty St. Headlining clubs across the nation as his album “Round Trip” went to the top on the iTunes comedy charts, Sam Miller is coming to Erie for one night only. Sunday April 5 at Werner Books and Coffee with doors opening at 7 and show beginning at 7:30. Tickets are $25 in advance plus fees or $25 plus fees the day of.   • Stevo: April 6 at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. and April 7 at 7 p.m. at Kellar’s Modern Magic and Comedy Club at 1402 State St. Steve-O (Stephen Glover): From “Jackass” legend to best-selling authority and stand-up sensation, Steve-O has spent over two decades shocking, entertaining and making people laugh out loud. Tickets range from $35 to $50 plus fees and can be purchased on Kellar’s website or by calling 814-461-0911.
  • Ryan Goodcase: April 9-10 at 7 p.m. and April 11 at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. at Kellar’s Modern Magic and Comedy Club at 1402 State St. Ryan Goodcase is a stand-up comedian who has been praised for his smart writing and dry delivery.   • Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood: Asking For Trouble: April 10 at 7 p.m. at the Warner Theatre at 811 State St. Tickets range from $50.56 to $73.26 plus fees. Get ready for sidesplitting laughter as Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood from “Whose Line is it Anyway?” take the stage for a live show.
  • “A Dolls House“: April 10-18 at 7:30 p.m., April 19 at 2 p.m., April 23-25 at 7:30 p.m. and April 26 at 2 p.m. at the Erie Playhouse at 13 W. 10th St. Nora, a charming wife and mother, appears to live a perfect life. But it soon unravels due to a shocking secret. Hidden debts and societal expectations force her to confront the harsh truth: she’s been living in a carefully crafted dollhouse, yearning for freedom.   • “A Wake in the West”: An Irish Comedy: April 11 at 5:30 p.m. and April 12 at 2:30 p.m. at Station Dinner Theater at 4940 Peach St. $32.62- $56.08 plus fees. Meals included. Tom has drunk himself to death. This causes his family and friends to pay their respects while planning his cremation and deal with visitors at the wake.   • Hotel California: A Salute to the Eagles: April 11 at 8 p.m. at the Warner Theatre at 811 French St. Tickets range from $64.75 to $70.68 plus fees. By respectfully and accurately reproducing songs from The Eagles, the southern California group has touched the hearts of fans all over the world.   • Harlem Globetrotters: April 15 at 7 p.m. at the Erie Insurance Arena at 809 French St. Tickets range from $38.79 to $397.55 plus fees. From gravity-defying dunks to game-changing tricks, the world-famous Harlem Globetrotters are making a centennial tour stop in Erie.   • Ivan Pecel: April 17 and 18 at 7 p.m. Have you ever seen a man juggle ping pong balls using only his mouth? Ivan does that. Ivan has appeared on MTV, “America’s Got Talent,” and the “Tonight Show with Jay Leno.” Tickets are $25 plus fees and can be purchased on Kellar’s website or by calling 814-461-0911.
  • “UnineTown the Musical“: April 17-25 at 7:30 p.m. at PACA at 1505 State St. In a dystopian, Gotham-like city, a grueling 20-year drought has stripped away the most basic of human rights. Private toilets are outlawed, and the “privilege to pee” is strictly controlled by a single, malevolent corporation: Urine Good Company. Tickets are $20 a piece plus fees and can be purchased on PACA’s website.
  • Professional Championship Bull Riders: April 18 at 7 p.m. at Erie Insurance Arena at 809 French St. Tickets range from $28.68 to $104.74 plus fees. VIP options also available.   • “Bat out of Hell: The Musical“: April 20 at 7:30 p.m. at the Warner Theatre at 811 State St. Tickets range from $56.23 to $79.51 plus fees. A show where the music of Jim Steinmean and Meat Loaf reigns. An epic cast will bring powerhouse vocals to Meat Loaf’s anthems from hit songs including “Bat out of Hell” and “Two out of Three Ain’t Bad.” Tickets available at the Erie Insurance Arena box office or by calling 814-452-4857.
  • Jamie Lissow: April 21 and 22 at 6 p.m. Jamie Lissow is an actor and comedian who can currently be seen as a weekly guest on the top-rated late night talk show, “Gutfeld.” Tickets are $30 plus fees and can be purchased on Kellar’s website or by calling 814-461-0911.
  • T-Robe at Flagship City Comedy Festival: April 22 at 8 p.m. at PACA at 1505 State St. The first featured headliner of the Flagship City Comedy Festival is T-Robe from Pittsburgh, who tours all over the country. He’ll be joined on stage by comics from all across the country. Tickets are $15 in advance plus fees or $20 the day of plus fees and can be purchased on the www.flagshipcitycomedyfest.com.
  • Mary Santora at Flagship City Comedy Festival: April 23 at 8 p.m. at the 1020 Collective at 1020 Holland St. Starting her career in Cleveland, Santora can be found on SiriusXM or her most recent comedy album, “Hillbilly Boujee,” on iTunes or Apple. Tickets will be $15 presale plus fees or $20 day of plus fees and can be purchased on flagshipcitycomedyfest.com.
  • Brent Terhune at Flagship City Comedy Festival: April 24 at 8 p.m. at 1020 Collective at 1020 Holland St. If you’ve been on social media you’ve probably seen Brent Terhune a time or two, and you’ll get to see him in person April 24. Tickets are $15 in advance plus fees, or $20 the day plus fees. Tickets can be purchased at flagshipcitycomedyfest.com.
  • Luke Null at Flagship City Comedy Festival: April 24 at 10 p.m. at 1020 Collective at 1020 Holland St. “Saturday Night Live” alum Luke Null is joining the acts at the Flagship City Comedy Festival. Tickets will be $15 presale plus fees and $20 day of plus fees and can be purchased at flagshipcitycomedyfest.com.. 
  • “Ashley Brown: A Spoonful of Sugar“: April 25 at 7:30 p.m. and April 26 at 3 p.m. at the Warner Theatre at 811 State St. Tickets range from $30 to $68 plus fees. Broadway star Ashely Brown is the original Mary Poppins on Broadway. Brown returns to the Warner Theatre to headline a night of favorite songs from the stage, screen and American songbook.   • Tien Tran at the Flagship City Comedy Festival: April 25 at 8 p.m. at the Erie Art Museum at 20 E. Fifth St. The final show of Flagship City Comedy Festival at the Erie Art Museum. Erie native Tien Tran, now in Los Angeles, is an actress, comedian and successful podcaster. Tran will be joined by some of the best rising comics in the country. Tickets are $20 plus fees in advance and $25 plus fees the day of the show and can be purchased at www.flagshipcitycomedyfest.com.
  • “Getting Sara Married“: April 25, 26, 29 and May 2, 3, 8, 9 and 13. Shows take place on Fridays at 6:30 p.m., Saturdays at 5:30 p.m. Sundays at 2:30 p.m. and Wednesdays at noon. Unfortunately for Sara, Aunt Martha’s method of matchmaking is to bop the prospective groom over the head and have him delivered to Sara’s apartment, several times.
