Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s Australian tour will be “very interesting” for a major reason, claims one royal expert. The couple, who are thought to be travelling without their children, will be travelling Down Under later this month.
Meghan, 44, and Harry, 41, last visited Australia as part of a royal tour in October 2018. Meghan announced that she was pregnant with their son, who was born the following May, during their visit seven years ago.
It has been reported that the couple’s upcoming visit will likely be bigger than previously anticipated as the public will have more opportunities to interact with Meghan and Harry.
Speaking in the latest episode of the A Right Royal podcast, HELLO!’s royal editor Emily Nash said: “I gather that it’s going to be a longer visit than we initially expected.
“We were told it was just going to be a handful of days and largely based around Meghan’s appearance at this retreat. But actually, it looks now like it’s going to have more shades of 2018.
“There is going to be quite a mixture of public and private engagements, opportunities for the public to interact with them, which will be very, very interesting.”
She added: “And it’s going to be across three cities. We know they’re going to be in Melbourne.
“There is going to be a visit to Canberra, and then to Sydney, where obviously the retreat is taking place. So I think it’s going to end up being a lot more high profile than we initially anticipated.”
The couple’s children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four, are thought not to be joining their parents. The young royals are likely to be looked after by their grandmother, Doria Ragland.
