The Great Celebrity Bake Off: Stand Up To Cancer viewers complained about technical problems.
Viewers of The Great Celebrity Bake Off: Stand Up To Cancer have expressed their frustration after technical difficulties rendered an episode “unwatchable”.
The beloved Channel 4 programme made its return this evening, featuring Alex Brooker, Ambika Mod, Rose Ayling-Ellis, Vicky Pattison and Sam Thompson in the famous tent.
The celebrity contestants endeavoured to wow judges Paul Hollywood and Cherish Finden, alongside presenters Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding, by tackling choux pastry creations and steamed puddings.
Unfortunately, the broadcast didn’t go down well with audiences, particularly those tuning in via Sky, who reported being unable to watch properly.
One frustrated viewer posted on X: “Anyone else getting a stuttering broadcast and the occasional pixel madness of a 80s top of the pops episode ??”, reports Gloucestershire Live.

They subsequently updated: “It’s getting worse…. Pauses as well now. Shame.”
Another person responded: “Yeah, I’ve given up watching it,” prompting the initial poster to reply: “I am so close to that point… it’s quite unwatchable.” They continued: “Most off-putting I say.”
A different viewer remarked: “I’ve stopped and started it again, thinking it might have been weather-related, so I’m glad it’s not just me!”
In a separate message, another exasperated fan wrote: “@Channel4 sort it out! It’s becoming unwatchable.”
They followed up with: “#GBBO its getting worse…. Reboot yourself during the adverts!!!” Meanwhile, another viewer posted on X: “Does anyone else have signal issues while watching Bake Off this evening? We’ve had several shaky screeners tonight.”
A further comment read: “What’s going on @Channel4, how can we watch #Bakeoff with it breaking up all the time?”
Bristol Live has contacted Sky for a response.
During the episode, Strictly Come Dancing star Rose claimed victory, while Vicky impressed audiences with her I’m A Celebrity-inspired creation.
Fans had already expressed their enthusiasm for the programme beforehand, with one posting: “So excited for this!!!
“EEEk!!” another exclaimed, while a third declared: “SO excited!!!!”
