Prince William and Princess Kate made their first Easter service appearance in three years, joined by their three children alongside King Charles III and Queen Camilla. While the royal family turned out for the occasion, former Prince Andrew and his family were notably absent.
William and Kate’s last Easter appearance was in 2023. Following Kate’s cancer diagnosis in early 2024, the Prince and Princess of Wales had chosen to celebrate privately with their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
On Sunday, April 5, the family of five rejoined the King and Queen for the annual Easter church service at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. King Charles’ siblings, Princess Anne and Prince Edward, were also in attendance.

Former royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, and their daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie all skipped the service.

According to USA Today, the Dean of Windsor Christopher Cocksworth greeted the King and Queen at the service. Charles wore a navy pinstriped suit, while Camilla was seen in a red coat and matching red hat.
Kate, 44, wore a cream-colored skirt suit along with a matching hat. According to InStyle, Princess Charlotte, 10, wore a custom tan Catherine Walker coat, which she last wore in 2025. She paired the coat with a baby blue Self-Portrait dress.
Meanwhile, William, 43, matched with his sons George, 12, and Louis, 7, as they wore navy-colored suits with light blue ties.
Renewed Scrutiny Over Disgraced Prince Andrew’s Connections With Jeffrey Epstein
Meanwhile, Mountbatten-Windsor and his family’s absence comes amid the growing public scrutiny over disgraced Prince Andrew’s past connections with the late financier and child s-x offender Jeffrey Epstein. In February, Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested from his Wood Farm residence in Sandringham Estate, Norfolk, on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
He was accused of leaking confidential and sensitive government information to Epstein during his tenure as the UK’s Special Representative for International Trade from 2001 to 2011. Misconduct in public office is a serious criminal offence in the UK, carrying a maximum penalty of life imprisonment. Mountbatten-Windsor has not been charged. He denied all allegations and was released after approximately 11 hours in police custody.
His association with Epstein dates back to the 1990s and early 2000s. In 2019, he publicly defended his friendship with the convicted offender. The controversy deepened in 2021 when Virginia Giuffre filed a civil lawsuit accusing Andrew of sexual misconduct when she was 17. The case was settled out of court in 2022 with no admission of liability.
The recently released Epstein files by the US Department of Justice have renewed questions about Andrew’s conduct. The British royal family has since distanced itself from Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, with his brother King Charles III, stripping him of his royal titles and patronages in 2022.
Following his latest arrest, the King issued a rare personal statement stressing that the “law must take its course.” Prince William and Princess Kate have reportedly backed the King’s position.
