How Dallas’ new outdoor music venue measures up

The new Longhorn Backyard Amphitheater, North Texas’ latest outdoor music venue, offers a slightly more intimate setting than its closest competitor, the 8,000-capacity Toyota Music Factory in Irving. Here’s a look at how the new venue measures up.

6,500 fans

Number of concerts annually:
20-24 are expected this year, with around 30-36 in future years

Approximate campus size:
6 acres

Stage dimensions:
72 feet wide by 42 feet deep

Main performance area:
42 feet wide by 35 feet deep

High-definition video screens:
Two, one on each side of the stage measuring 16 feet by 9 feet. Some acts may bring additional screens to set up behind the stage.

Onsite parking:
400-plus spaces, with additional street parking available
