Nashville’s popular Inn at Fontanel reopens under new brand
A boutique hotel formerly called The Inn at Fontanel is reopening as The Grove at Whites Creek, on Whites Creek Pike near The Fontanel Mansion.
A movie theater and entertainment complex is opening Wednesday, April 29 at downtown’s Nashville Yards complex.
Hooky, a 50,000-square-foot venue, is set to include a dine-in cinema, bowling lanes, an arcade, full-service bar and restaurant and private event spaces. It’s located in the CAA headquarter office building with an address of 931 Church St.
“Hooky is a natural fit for Nashville Yards, a development built around bringing people together through shared experiences,” CEO Charlie Tiantawach said in a news release announcing the opening. “It’s about giving people more ways to be connected. From cinema to cocktails to gaming competitions, it’s all designed to turn a night out into something bigger.”
The cinema will include seven theaters with velvet couch-style seating.
“As a former downtown resident now living just across the Cumberland, I’m thrilled to bring cinema back to the heart of the city,” said Hooky General Manager Joshua Pemberton, in the release. “For years, seeing a movie meant leaving downtown. This opening brings cinema back to the city center and fills a clear gap in the downtown entertainment mix.”
The 15,000-square-foot arcade will include more than 48 games like electric shuffleboard and virtual darts. The bowling alley will include eight full-length lanes. Two full-service cocktail bars are included, and two private event rooms are available.
Hooky already operated 18 locations across six states.
