Now in its sixth edition, the female-led conference brings together artists, industry professionals and cultural leaders from across Africa and beyond to discuss developments in the global music sector, with an emphasis on collaboration, innovation and independent creative growth.

Organisers have confirmed a new wave of speakers for the 2026 edition, including Grammy Recording Academy-inducted producer and artist TRESOR, as well as Janesh and Hitboss SA, figures associated with the emerging Lekompo sound.

Vocalist and mental health advocate Brenda Mtambo will also join the programme, contributing to discussions on wellbeing within the creative industries.

The organisers say the speaker line-up reflects a cross-section of artists and industry professionals engaged in music production, songwriting and cultural exchange across African and international markets.

Community Access Pledge launched

ARMC has introduced a new Community Access Pledge, developed in partnership with organisations including Bridges for Music, shesaid.so South Africa, The Cradle Crew (CoSemo Collective) and BTCH$ LUV.

The initiative aims to improve access to the conference for emerging artists and entrepreneurs who may not otherwise be able to attend. Under the scheme, partner organisations distribute tickets funded through pledges made by participating brands and industry stakeholders.

The 2026 edition will introduce Australia and Uganda as official focus countries, with curated delegations of artists, executives and cultural practitioners expected to participate.

The Ugandan delegation will be led by the Amplify Ugandan Music Expo (AUMEX), while Australia’s inclusion forms part of ARMC’s efforts to strengthen international engagement beyond the African continent.

Delegations from the United Kingdom are supported by the PRS Foundation, alongside additional participants from Germany, the United States and Sweden.
