Prince William “offered condolences” to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor after the former prince was stripped of his titles, it has been alleged.
Mr Mountbatten-Windsor’s brother, King Charles, stripped him of his royal titles in October 2025 amid his association with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
The ex-Duke has strenuously denied any wrongdoing in relation to the disgraced financier.
Andrew was also booted out of his former residence, Royal Lodge, earlier this year.
“These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him,” a statement from Buckingham Palace read at the time.
“Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.”
But, according to Robert Hardman’s new biography on the late Queen, heir to the throne William was “one of the few people” to reach out to the former Duke of York following the announcement.

The book claims William called Andrew on the night he lost the royal titles, October 30, 2025, to “offer condolences”.
He was “one of the few people” to contact Mr Mountbatten-Windsor at the time, the book claims.
It is alleged the late Queen’s youngest son was left “very touched” by the outreach.
It comes despite one source close to the family telling HELLO! that the future king has “never had a close relationship” with Mr Mountbatten-Windsor.

The Prince of Wales is also now said to be “calling the shots” for the family after the public controversy shrouding his uncle, according to royal author Andrew Lownie.
Mr Lownie suggested the Waleses are “clearly distancing themselves” from the former duke.
The royal commentator told People in March: “William wants it all cleaned out before he gets [on the throne].
“He wants it dealt with now.”
William is also said to be pushing to remove Andrew from the line of succession, and is understood to be “frustrated” by the delay in removing the former Duke of York from the line to the throne.
It was previously revealed that William wanted Andrew out of the royal fold all the way back in 2019, following his disastrous BBC Newsnight interview.
Mr Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested on February 19 and later released under investigation for misconduct in public office.
