KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Royals were set to wrap up a four-game series vs. the Chicago White Sox on Sunday at 1:10 p.m. The weather, however, had other plans.

Mayor Lucas reveals plan to move Royals from Kauffman to Washington Square Park
The Royals announced that the game would be delayed due to rain just before noon on Sunday. Later in the afternoon, the team said they expect to start the game at 4:10 p.m.
The Royals will look to get the offense going for the first time this series on Sunday, if the weather permits. They’ve scored just four total runs in the series so far, following a 2-0 shutout loss to begin the series.

Enough can’t be said about the Royals’ pitching, however. Following the series opener, the Royals haven’t given up a run in the previous two outings, with back-to-back 2-0 wins. Kris Bubic provided seven innings of shutout baseball on Friday, racking up 11 K’s, and Michael Wacha followed that up Saturday with a similar, eight-inning start.

At this time, the Royals are still scheduled to send LHP Noah Cameron (1-0, 1.69 ERA) to the mound to face Chicago’s RHP Grant Taylor (0-0, 1.42 ERA) when the rain lets up on Sunday. However, that could change with the pitchers’ warm-up timelines being drastically affected.
