Classical guitarist Dave McLellan has a Sunday matinee performance scheduled for later this month at the Parish Center for the Arts in Westford, according to a community announcement.
The show starts at 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 19.
McLellan, who has been a concert and chamber music guitarist since 1976, has performed throughout the U.S., South America, Great Britain and Europe, according to the announcement. He has performed at Carnegie Hall and Merkin Hall, both in New York City, and at London’s Wigmore Hall.
McLellan has received a National Endowment for the Arts grant and won the Concerts Atlantique competition, according to the announcement.
He has collaborated with several musicians, including Neil Anderson of the Anderson-McLellan Guitar Duo; the late guitarist/composers Frank Wallace and Edward Flower; guitarist Peter Clemente; flutist Tracy Kraus of the Worcester Chamber Music Society; sopranos Rebecca Grimes and Rebekah Alexander; mezzo Emily Marvosh; violinist Emil Altschuler; cellist Seth MacLeod; and various professional and community choral groups.
McLellan is a former faculty member of The Hartt School at the University of Connecticut, the Performing Arts Center of MetroWest in Framingham; and the Artist in Residence program in Harvard, according to the announcement. He currently maintains a private studio for intermediate and advanced classical guitar students.
Doors will open at 3:30 p.m. Tickets range from $5 to $20 in advance and will be $25 at the door, if available. Seating will be in recital format, and advance reservations are recommended, according to the announcement.
