The Laguna Beach alum explained she was pulled over by a police officer for driving too slowly.
“He was like, ‘I’m not gonna give you a ticket because I’ve clearly ruined your day,'” Conrad recalled.
Buckle up! Lauren Conrad is looking back in her rearview mirror at the time she got pulled over while in the middle of taking her driving test.
The Laguna Beach alum was asked if she’d ever gotten in trouble with the law by her former costar Stephen Colletti on Tuesday’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show.
“I’ve never been arrested or anything,” Conrad explained, “but I did – one of my most embarrassing stories is I got pulled over by a cop on my driving test.”

The confession drew a surprised reaction from Barrymore. “Oh! Was the teacher next to you?” the host asked. When Conrad noted the instructor was indeed present, she added, “Did that go well, or…?”
To which Conrad responded, “Well, I didn’t pass.”
The reality star revealed that she got pulled over by the officer for “going too slow” on the road.
“He was like, ‘License and registration!’” Conrad recalled. “And the teacher leaned over and he goes, ‘We’re actually, uh… We’re working on the license right now.’”
She said the officer found the entire situation “so funny,” adding, “He was like, ‘I’m not gonna give you a ticket because I’ve clearly ruined your day, but in my 15 years I’ve never had this happen.’”
Barrymore, ever an optimist, was able to find a silver lining within the experience. “Well, again, timing is everything,” she said, to which Conrad replied, “Yeah!”

While visiting the talk show, Conrad also recalled the time her dad caught her and her friends sneaking out of the house.

“We snuck out because we really wanted to go toilet papering. I was having a slumber party with girlfriends and my parents told me no,” she explained. “It was like two blocks away from my house and my dad pulls up in the car.”
Conrad initially thought that she and her friends were going to be in “so much trouble,” but that things turned out better than expected.
“He was like, ‘Get in the car!’ I get in the car, he’s like, ‘Okay, we’re gonna go home, but first we’re gonna go toilet papering because I really love toilet papering.’ He’s like, ‘Don’t tell your mom!’ And he took us!”
