Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun are ready to share their romance publicly. After attending the premiere of Euphoria season 3 together on April 7, Sweeney shared a photo of the couple cuddled up at the event on her Instagram Story yesterday, marking her first time featuring Braun on her account. Braun reposted the image, cheekily writing of himself, “Lucky bastard.”
The couple has been together since last summer. On September 2, a source told People that the 28-year-old actress and the 44-year-old music executive were seeing each other. “Everything is casual,” the insider said. “She is living her life and working hard.”
Later that month, a source detailed to the outlet how the two connected at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez-Bezos’s wedding that June.
“What really stood out to Sydney was at Jeff Bezos’s wedding,” the insider began. “Everyone else was trying to hit on her, but Scooter wasn’t. He wasn’t pursuing her the way others did, and that’s what caught her attention and made her feel like his intentions were real. For both of them, [the relationship] feels easy and natural, and the people closest to them on both sides are happy to see that.”
Three months later, in early December, things progressed. A source told People that Sweeney and Braun were “in a committed relationship, and things are serious.”
In her January 2026 Cosmopolitan cover story, Sweeney didn’t discuss Braun, but she did open up about how she is still figuring out what parts of her love life she wants to share publicly.
“I was in a relationship for a very long time, for seven and a half years [with ex-fiancé Jonathan Davino], and I never talked about it,” she recalled. “I was very private. No one would ever see us. I think it’s important to have some things for myself. I understand that I’m a public person, but I’m still in my 20s. I’m still figuring out love, and it’s hard to do that with millions of people who have their own opinions of what that looks like. At the same time, for all of my 20s, I put my head down and focused on work—and now I want to experience things. But it’s hard deciding that I want to experience love in the public eye. I’m just navigating it all.”
She also detailed what she’s looking for in a partner, saying, “Athletic and outgoing and funny. I’m a sporty girl, so someone needs to be able to climb a mountain with me, go skydiving with me. And someone who loves their family. I love myself a man…oh, wow, when you print that, you won’t hear the [playfully sarcastic] inflection in my voice. Look, I am a boss in my life. I take control. I go after what I want. I am confident, and I am successful, and I don’t actually need a man. I’ve got myself. I’ve got an incredible group of girlfriends. I’ve got a team of badass women. That is very intimidating to a lot of guys, so a guy needs to be able to stand in that with me. It takes a very specific person who can handle the world that comes with me. There was a guy who I really, really liked, but he told me he can’t handle my world. It’s a hard thing.”
