How does the WWE fit into the ESPN ecosystem?

We are in the business of bringing to life the biggest moments in sports and entertainment, and there is nothing bigger than WrestleMania. We have a commitment to fans to deliver the star power, storytelling, and excitement of this global event across all of our programming. After all, the “E” stands for Entertainment. Bringing the “Grandest Stage of Them All” to fans on ESPN is a natural fit.

WrestleMania is a global cultural moment, not just a live event. How did ESPN approach content integration to meet fans where they are before, during, and after the weekend?

We’re celebrating WrestleMania by bringing every aspect of the event to life across all of our platforms in the weeks leading up to WrestleMania 42.

Our content is designed to build anticipation and create real “FOMO” around WrestleMania. WWE Superstars will appear across ESPN programming, and we’ll spotlight celebrity and athlete super-fans making the trip to Las Vegas. You may even see some of our own ESPN talent testing whether they have what it takes to step into the ring.

Can you take us into the plans around WrestleMania? What is ESPN doing differently for the event?

The road to WrestleMania is one of the most exciting stretches on the sports calendar, and our goal is to make fans at home feel fully immersed in the experience. That starts with showcasing the massive footprint WWE will have across Las Vegas during the week.

SportsCenter will originate from WWE World, highlighting the ultimate fan experience, while First Take will broadcast live from Allegiant Stadium, home of WrestleMania’s two-night event. Our content teams will be throughout the city capturing the energy and bringing the moment to life from every angle.

How did ESPN balance serving core WWE fans while also making WrestleMania accessible to more casual sports audiences?

This balance is at the heart of what ESPN does best. Our role is to engage core fans while also introducing WWE to new audiences and helping grow the fandom. Everyone starts somewhere.

We’re delivering content for every level of engagement — from dedicated shows like No-Contest Wrestling and event preview programming for hardcore fans, to integrations on SportsCenter and social-first content that introduce the fun, spectacle, and personalities of WWE to casual viewers. Our strategy reflects a belief that this sport will continue to grow.

From a long-term perspective, how does ESPN’s WrestleMania coverage fit into the network’s broader strategy for blending sports, storytelling, and fan culture?

Sports coverage today goes beyond what happens on the field — or in this case, the ring. WWE understood that early, building unforgettable entrances, long‑form storytelling, and an entire culture around its superstars.

That blueprint aligns perfectly with ESPN’s approach. Our job is to continue bringing that energy, emotion, and storytelling to fans in ways that feel authentic, modern, and immersive.
