Donald Trump delivered a blunt one-word reply to a journalist asking about the Iran conflict.

On Saturday, April 18, the U.S. president signed an executive order designed to fast-track research into psychedelic substances for mental health treatment. He invited several cabinet members and prominent personalities, including Joe Rogan, to The White House to observe the signing.

Media representatives also attended the Oval Office gathering to cover the order. However, when a CBS reporter attempted to pivot the discussion toward the ongoing strikes in the Middle East, the session was abruptly concluded. While fielding questions from journalists, CBS News’ Olivia Rinaldi started, “Mr. President, a question on Iran, Iranian gunboats fired upon two vessels today. President Macron said that–.”

Trump cut her off mid-sentence, saying, “Out,” while one of his aides simultaneously instructed her to exit. The remaining reporters were also directed to leave as the president wrapped up the meeting, thanking attendees for their presence.

On Saturday, February 28, the U.S. and Israel conducted initial military operations against Iran, resulting in the deaths of multiple Iranian officials, including Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Trump revealed the Iranian leader’s death that same afternoon. On his Truth Social platform, he celebrated the elimination of “one of the most evil people in history,” characterizing it as payback for the damage inflicted on Americans and others impacted by Iran’s regime.

“This is not only Justice for the people of Iran,” Trump wrote, “but for all Great Americans, and those people from many Countries throughout the World, that have been killed or mutilated by Khamenei and his gang of bloodthirsty THUGS.”

He went on to mention that U.S. military operations against Iran would continue. Trump explained, “The heavy and pinpoint bombing, however, will continue, uninterrupted throughout the week or, as long as necessary to achieve our objective of PEACE THROUGHOUT THE MIDDLE EAST AND, INDEED, THE WORLD!”

While making a speech at Trump National Doral days after the strikes commenced, the president expressed his expectation that the conflict would conclude “very soon.” Nevertheless, he emphasized the campaign would proceed “until the enemy is totally and decisively defeated.

“We’ve already won in many ways, but we haven’t won enough,” he noted.

Since then, Trump has consistently utilized his Truth Social platform to update Americans on the latest developments.

On April 8, he revealed the United States and Iran had reached an agreement for a two-week ceasefire.

As that deadline approaches, the president has made a chilling five-word threat to Iran.
