- The UK-wide Raise The Standard will fund sound, lighting and backline improvements in grassroots spaces.
- The Music Venue Trust has announced more details of Raise The Standard, a new initiative aimed at improving the quality of on-stage equipment in grassroots venues across the UK.
Supported by LIVE Trust, the programme will focus on essential production infrastructure such as sound systems, lighting rigs, backline and microphones. Through partnerships with manufacturers and suppliers, the scheme will channel direct investment into venues, delivering upgraded equipment to performance spaces nationwide.
Raise The Standard forms part of a wider set of projects launching in 2026, funded in part by contributions from arena and stadium events. The initiative is intended to redistribute resources from large-scale shows back into smaller venues, supporting the early stages of artists’ careers.
According to Music Venue Trust, the goal is to ensure audiences experience high-quality production from the outset, positioning grassroots venues as spaces equipped to professional standards rather than compromise environments.
