BRATTLEBORO — Under the Maple announces the return of the popular trio, Dear Ella, as part of the House Concert series on Sunday, April 26, at 4 p.m.
Made up of the Western Massachusetts-based trio Annie Patterson, Mary Witt and Ann Percival, Dear Ella’s repertoire includes a mix of folk, blues, swing, and gospel with three-part harmony, plus guitar, ukulele, banjo, bass and snare drum. Dear Ella sings about themes of love and peace and social justice, to name a few. The band’s name, inspired by Ella Fitzgerald, is a nod to the many women singers who have inspired them.
Suggested donation is $20-$30 at the door (all of the money goes to the performers). Reservations required; email [email protected]
