There’s no place like home for Nikki Glaser.
During her April 22 appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark, the comedian, 41, told hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos what it was like to film her new comedy special Good Girl in her hometown of St. Louis after moving back there years ago.
“You literally went home to St. Louis and shot it there. How was that?” Consuelos asks of Glaser’s stand-up show, which premieres on Hulu April 24.
“I live in St. Louis. I moved back to St. Louis after Covid and kind of just got away from it all and stayed there,” she explained.
The stand-up special was filmed at the Fabulous Fox Theatre and was attended by many of Glaser’s family and friends, making it one big hometown reunion, she tells the talk show hosts.
“It was lots of people from high school, you know, people from my pilates class, my self-tan lady from the strip mall. But it was fun. It’s fine, I guess, that my childhood dentist knows about my sex life now. I guess that’s appropriate,” she joked.
She confirms that her parents were in the crowd as well, and that they have “hardened souls” after listening to her comedy shows for the last 20 years.
In August 2025, Glaser got even more candid about why she prefers living in St. Louis during a conversation on St. Louis on the Air.

“When I’m on both of the coasts, it’s like constantly comparing yourself, and everyone’s just really chasing that status,” she said at the time. “Here, it just feels a bit more relaxed, and I get back to what’s important: having a good time and going out to eat.”
She also said moving back to her hometown has helped her stay connected to her family, which is something that’s important to her at this stage in her life.

“[Living here] is just wanting to focus on my family while they’re still around and healthy, and want to hang out with me,” she added.
“It’s also just being in a town where what podcast [you have], what spots you’re doing that night, what parties you’re going to, what red carpets you’re attending — doesn’t matter. That’s not here, and that’s not what people value here. And it just recalibrates me,” Glaser concluded.
