In a clip shared by the official Instagram account for The Late Show, the show’s host teamed up with Stewart for a comedic sketch on Wednesday, April 22, promoting a real-life charity auction of show memorabilia on eBay ahead of the series finale on May 21.

Dubbed “Late Show Home Shopping,” the segment comically took aim at traditional home shopping formats, and featured the longtime friends playfully selling props from the set, including mugs, neckties and even the iconic studio sign.

At one point, Stewart, 63, suggested starting bids at $20 — prompting Colbert, 61, to spit out his drink and insist there was “no way” they could go that high, jokingly lowering it to $19.99.

All jokes aside, some items are already pulling in big bids: The Late Show sign alone climbed past $15,100, according to eBay.

During the episode, Colbert also quipped he was sending off his “Iran War Jokes” to Jimmy Kimmel via FedEx.

The sketch comes as Colbert prepares to wrap his run on the CBS program, which was announced last year to be ending. As Globe recently reported, after Colbert’s final bow, CBS will welcome in a different kind of late-night programming with Byron Allen’s Comics Unleashed, which will showcase a series of stand-up comics.

The Late Show With Stephen Colbert premiered on September 8, 2015.
