Storage Wars star Darrell Sheets filed a police report in Arizona alleging that people were threatening him online before his death earlier this week
Darrell Sheets, a Storage Wars star, said that he was being threatened before his death.
The 67-year-old was found dead in his Lake Havasu City home in Arizona at around 2 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22. He apparently died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Before his death, he claimed in posts online that he was the victim of cyber bullies and filed a police report about the threats months before his death. Sheets claimed that the online comments threatened his antiques shop and caused him intense psychological turmoil.

According to The US Sun, Sheets filed a report with the Lake Havasu Police Department in January. The 67-year-old claimed he had been hacked online and that his antique store, called Show Me Your Junk, was targeted, with strangers showing up there looking for him.
The Sun claimed that LHPD Sergeant Kyle Ridgeway said that the harassment claims are “currently being investigated.” The department is “aware of the cyberbullying accusations involved in this incident, and these claims are a part of the active investigation,” he said.
One post that Sheets posted read, “Once again, people of Hanavsu, I have been hacked by a very evil person.”
“I’m not gay, I have made no post about any children’s arcade owner, etc. I am extremely sorry and sick over this. These people have ruined me,” he continued. “People are showing up to my work and wanting to harm me.”
Sheets rival on Storage Wars, Rene Nezhoda, 49, believes that these threats played a role in Sheets’ death. “He was mercilessly cyberbullied,” Nezhoda said.
Nezhoda said that even though he and Sheets had a complicated relationship, as they had an on-screen rivalry during the A&E show, they competed at auctions for abandoned storage units.
On the show, Sheets was known as “The Gambler” for his high-risk bidding style. He made history on the show in 2012, spending less than $4,000 on a storage locker that contained a Frank Gutierrez art collection worth $300,000. To this day, it’s one of the most profitable finds in Storage Wars history.
According to CelebrityNetWorth, Sheets was worth $4 million at the time of his death. No further details about the investigation have been released by Lake Havasu City Police.
