Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson appear to be on the outs after the rapper went off at him via Instagram stories as the NBA playoffs continue to drone on
Megan Thee Stallion didn’t hold back about her relationship with NBA star Klay Thompson.
“Cheating, had me around your while family playing house…” the 31-year-old rapper wrote on her Instagram story. “Got ‘cold feet.'”
“Holding you down through all your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season now you don’t know if you can be ‘monogamous’???? b—h I need a REAL break after this one .. bye yall,” she added, not directly naming her NBA boyfriend. It comes after Megan was rushed to the hospital just weeks ago after ‘feeling very ill,’ later admitting she had a “wake up call.”

Megan and Klay first linked up around July 2025 when fans spotted him barely in the background of an Instagram post. Days later, Klay, too, teased the relationship with a more official soft launch coming at the rapper’s Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala where they walked the red carpet together.
In October 2025, Megan arrived court side at one of his Dallas Mavericks games. The life of a WAG quickly caught up to Megan, though, as she was blamed for his poor performance on the basketball court.
“I’m from West Virginia, man. I’ve been taught a lot by some old folks, old white folks. It only takes one p—y to drag a battleship across a desert. That’s how powerful it is,” Jason Williams said on his Hoopin’ N Hollerin’ podcast. “I ain’t saying that’s what it is, but that might be what it is.”
However, Klay stood up for his girlfriend, saying on Instagram, “Referring to my GF as a ‘p—-y’ is so disgusting and disturbing. Especially from someone who played in the NBA. How would yall feel if I referred to your wives in such a way. Do better fellas. Very disappointing.”
For Valentine’s Day 2026, Megan opened up about their relationship, making it seem things were just peachy. “I didn’t even know I was going to be in my relationship, to be honest,” she told People.
“I think that because finally I started being in a better mind space about myself and my life, and I had already been doing a lot of work to heal me … maybe God just opened up that space for me to have somebody that loved me right. This is one of the first times that I’ve ever been just overly comfortable. I’m comfy, babe!”
Just days later, Megan was admitted she was already dreaming of wedding bells. “Manifesting my engagement, too,” she said during a YouTube video with Olympians Brittany Bowe and Hilary Knight.
Despite what appeared to be a very blooming, happy relationship for the NBA star, things for Klay took a turn in March 2026 when his team was eliminated from playoff contention after they suffered 137–131 loss to the Golden State Warriors.
