Tyler Hynes fans—better known as “Hynies”—are sure going to be excited about tonight’s Hallmark Channel premiere.
I’ll Be Seeing You stars Hynes as Mark, alongside Stacey Farber as Amy, in a touching new road trip romance. According to the network, the film follows Amy, whose weekend plans with her grandmother (Christine Ebersole) get derailed by a “work errand,” leading them to “embark on a road trip with one sentimental detour,” with “the help of a charming activities director” (Hynes).
This film is particularly special for Hynes, who explained on Instagram that it is the “first project [he] put into development at @hallmarkchannel as a producer.” Hynes cited “the reason” this is the case to be his respect and appreciation for his elders, and the input he has heard from fans about longing for a story like this.
“There’s a voice I’ve grown to deeply cherish,” he wrote. “A voice I’ve had the privilege of acting opposite. A voice I have the honour of meeting on these tours. And I wanted that voice to take center stage. I deeply admire the generation that came before me. Not just for their wisdom but for their spirit. And there’s nothing more beautiful then when I hear of families using these movies as multigenerational shared experiences. So here it is. A title and a song I’ve shared with you for years. A movie inspired by you. Made with you mind. With exactly the people I wished to make it with.”
