Starting to plan your summer weekends? There’s plenty to get in the diary this year at Meridian Showground – from music events to fun fairs and Armed Forces weekend, there’s something for everyone!
The main summer season kicks off in May, with Race for Life on 10 May, and a fun fair in town from 23 to 31 May.
June starts off the main music festivals, with Fake Fest first on the list on 6 June, featuring lots of great tribute acts from bands through the ages.
Then buckle up for a bumper weekend of music in June, with Pop Live on Friday 12 June, with headliners Scouting for Girls, Heather Small and Sigala, and The Gathering on Saturday 13 June, featuring more than 60 DJs across house, techno, trance, hard dance and classics.
June ends with the wonderful Armed Forces event in the town on the weekend of 26-28 June. This is our annual thank you to our Armed Forces personnel and their families, past and present, with Meridian Showground being used to support the land-based assets once more.
July and August bring a range of different events and more music!
Pencilled in for early July is an Afro Caribbean event, more details coming soon. The Scooter Rally will take on Meridian Showground from 17-19 July, with live bands on both Friday and Saturday. Then the first Saturday in August brings another live music event – Everybody Loves the Sunshine on 1 August.
Ending the summer will be the traditional fun fair, returning ahead of the August bank holiday, from 12 August to 1 September.
