Prince Harry might want to return to his role within The Firm.
According to commentator Rafe Heydel-Mankoo, the Duke of Sussex’s recent comments seem to hint that he wants to make amends with his relatives after his and Meghan Markle‘s dramatic exit from the U.K. in 2020.
“Prince Harry is clearly desperate to return to the royal fold,” the expert told GB News.

“The more distant and disconnected he is from the monarchy, the more his relevance wanes. This is why he is undertaking these faux ‘royal’ engagements,” Heydel-Mankoo said.
“It’s the only thing in civilian life he knows how to do; it is the best way of attracting media attention and, ultimately, I suspect he hopes it will somehow open a path for his return to the royal family,” he added.
After Harry made it clear he was “always” a part of his family, Heydel-Mankoo emphasized that he’s still “not a working royal.”
“Creating his own version of a royal engagement does not make him a working royal,” the journalist noted.

“Especially not when these trips are also designed alongside commercial operations for private financial gain,” Heydel-Mankoo said.
While the 41-year-old might want to customize what being a working royal is, the reporter recalled the boundary that Queen Elizabeth II made clear to Harry and Meghan before they moved to America.
“The position of Queen Elizabeth and King Charles II is quite clear: if the Sussexes wish to pursue private commercial ventures, they can never be working royals,” Heydel-Mankoo noted.
During the Spare author’s visit to Ukraine, an ITV reporter asked him if he sees himself as “not a working royal.”
“No. I will always be part of the royal family,” Harry replied.
“I am here working doing the things that I was born to do,” he gushed. “You know, I enjoy doing it. I enjoy coming to do these trips and supporting that I’ve ever before, the friends that I’ve made, and hopefully, bringing attention to issues that, for one reason or another, drop out of the news because something else has popped up.”
