Brandon Barash, a General Hospital alum and the former partner of current GH star Kirsten Storms, obtained a restraining order against his ex, according to court documents obtained by Entertainment Weekly.
Barash alleged in a petition filed in December 2025 that Storms has a “history of substance abuse and mental health issues.” Barash claimed that Storms herself told him in May 2025 that she was “experiencing delusions and hallucinations” and “didn’t think she should have the child for her parenting time.” Barash alleged that his current wife of six years, Isabella Devoto, helped Storms seek professional care at a hospital. (Barash and Storms share Harper, 12.)
Barash further claimed in the petition that Storms agreed to “get help” again in June 2025 after a “psychotic breakdown,” but “never followed through” when they relocated to Tennessee. While she “seemed to have stabilized,” things took a “turn for the worse” in October 2025. Barasah was granted a temporary order of protection after an alleged November 2025 incident during which Storms allegedly claimed someone was trying to break into her apartment and “mess with her.” She allegedly asked Barash if he was responsible. Barash claimed Storms was in a “state of paranoia.”
More recently, Storms took to Instagram with similar claims about her apartment. On April 24, Storms shared four slides of text relating to “‘Eviction Mill Operations’ designed to circumvent due process,” with an accompanying caption regarding an alleged break-in.

In the docs, Barash alleged a larger pattern of “delusions and hallucinations” on Storms’ part, noting that “instability with housing has been a recurring theme” for the actress.
EW has confirmed via court records that Storms is currently involved in a legal battle against her apartment complex. That dispute was initiated against the actress in November, with the most recent hearing held on April 6.
Barasah has also claimed that Storms refused to settle down in a single permanent residence with their daughter from September 2024 to June 2025. The actress instead stayed with friends or at hotels out of fear that people were “following her and the child to her room.”
EW has reached out to representatives for Storms and Barash for comment.
Docs filed on March 17 noted that a temporary restraining order issued on January 6 would remain in place until the judge reviews the case during a hearing scheduled for April 28. He also requested for Storms to undergo a mental health evaluation.

Barash starred as Johnny Zacchara on General Hospital from 2007-2016. Storms, who got her start as a child actor in popular films and series like All That, Kim Possible, and Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century, overlapped with Barash on the soap for three years. Her tenure as Maxie Jones began in 2005, and has spanned more than 1,700 episodes into 2026.
The actress recently took a six-month hiatus from the soap due to a brain aneurysm, making her return in February.
