Taylor Swift, who remains one of the most popular celebrities in the world at the moment, opened up on the rumors about her feud with longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff. The pop icon shut down the rumors by saying Antanoff was one of her “best friends.” The rumors emerged after Antonoff was not involved in Swift’s latest album, The Life of a Showgirl.

Taylor Swift recently put the rumors of her “feud” with longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff to bed. The speculations began following Antonoff’s absence from Swift’s latest album, The Life of a Showgirl. However, Swift insists that there is nothing off between the veteran music producer and her.
“Jack Antonoff is a collaborator of mine and one of my best friends,” Swift said of Antonoff to The New York Times in an interview released on April 28, 2026. She went on to comment on their working relationship. “We established this thing that we love to do, and we call it the rant bridge,” Swift said.
“It’s basically like stream of consciousness, endless pouring-out of emotion, intrusive thoughts, blended with metaphor, with discussion, with shouting,” she explained about the process. “You want this rant bridge to feel the most intense of what that feeling is that you’re trying to establish over the course of the song, and you want it to be kind of a crescendo.” Swift further added that some of her hit songs, like “Out of the Woods” and “Cruel Summer” were examples of rant bridges.
Swift and Antonoff have been collaborating since the 2013 track “Sweeter than Fiction”. Over their long working relationship, the duo co-produced and wrote Swift’s Grammy-winning album, 1989. Antonoff also joined Swift onstage as a surprise guest for her Eras Tour stop in New Jersey.
However, Swift wanted her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, to sound different. To achieve this, Swift collaborated with Max Martin and Shellback. But it does not automatically indicate that she has a problem with Antonoff.
