Olivia Wilde has sparked concerns among online commentators after her latest public appearance.
This past Friday, April 24, the Don’t Worry Darling director stepped out for the opening of her movie The Invite as part of the San Francisco International Film Festival, and photos and videos of her from the event have ignited some pretty brutal discussion about her looks.
A particular TikTok video of her red carpet interview with SFGate garnered a hefty number of comments — most of which were about how Wilde looked and not about what she said in the conversation.
Many commenters latched onto how much thinner Wilde supposedly looked in the video — and speculated that she was either not eating enough or taking a GLP-1.
“Why is no one eating?” one person asked.
“Can someone please feed these celebrities?” added someone else, with many people using the phrase “temporal wasting,” which refers to thinning out around the temples and can indicate illness.
“What in the walking dead is going on here?” another person said.
“You know when we catch a glimpse of ourselves in the cameras at the grocery store self-checkout?” joked another TikTok commenter.

A post on the Subreddit r/SipsTea read, “Olivia Wilde looks like Ozempic Gollum” alongside a photo of her from the event.
However, while some replies on the post appeared to agree with the original poster’s sentiment, most came to Wilde’s defense and called out the OP for their casual cruelty.
“She’s literally always been super skinny her entire life. She just got older. People need to toss off sometimes and leave people be,” one person wrote.
“Let’s see a pic of the OP. Bet thats a sight easy on the eyes,” commented someone else.
“‘They are too fat!’ ‘They are too thin!’ Humans are just kinda rotten huh,” contributed a third.
Others pointed out that if Wilde looked at all gaunt, it was due to lighting, aging and styling.
At the event, the actress stunned in a simple outfit: a well-tailored white T-shirt, with her hair held back with a bow.
The Invite, which Wilde directed and stars in alongside Seth Rogen, Penélope Cruz and Edward Norton, tells the story of a dinner party gone awry. It was co-written by Rashida Jones and is slated for release on June 26.
This is Wilde’s third finalized production as a feature-film director, following 2019’s Booksmart and 2022’s Don’t Worry Darling.
