Meghan Markle offered a glimpse into her Montecito home life in an unexpected Instagram video featuring Princess Lilibet, posted just hours after King Charles was photographed feeding chickens during a royal engagement.
The footage shows the chocolatier feeding Meghan’s chickens while the Duchess enthusiastically gives him a tour.
In one brief clip, Meghan can be heard saying: “When the chocolate man comes to see the chickens. Compartes is here,” before showcasing one of her hens.
In a fleeting moment, Princess Lilibet appears wearing a pink dress, playing near the chicken coop and speaking an inaudible phrase to her mother, who responds, “Thanks sweetheart.”
The previous day, the King, known for his affinity for chickens, fed birds during a visit to a Harlem community project, reports the Express.
Charles toured Harlem Grown, a local community organization and after-school program addressing systemic health, education and wellbeing issues affecting children and families in Upper Manhattan by converting abandoned urban spaces into sustainable farms.
The initiative creates safe spaces and provides healthy food for local residents.
During his visit, the King watched schoolchildren engage in various farming activities, such as planting and irrigation, before joining the youngsters in feeding the chickens at the on-site coop.
Following his time in Harlem, he embarked on an unplanned walkabout through the streets.
One woman expressed her gratitude for his address to Congress, remarking: “We needed that.” Charles responded: “I keep trying.”
