Teddi Mellencamp Fires Back at RHOBH’s Dorit Kemsley

Teddi Mellencamp fired back at Dorit Kemsley, accusing her former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills costar of “hypocrisy” over the decline of their friendship.

“Why is she playing a victim now when it comes to me? … Now you just want people to jump on me because I made a point that upset you, which I get. I 100 percent get,” Teddi, 44, insisted on the Friday, May 1, episode of her “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast. “Do I think it was something nice to say? No. Was I being an a**hole? I don’t want to apologize for my comment. “

Earlier this week, Teddi upset her former friend while recapping Dorit’s estranged husband PK Kemsley’s interview on the “We Need to Talk” podcast, where he broke his silence about their divorce. (The Kemsleys announced their separation in May 2024 and filed for divorce the following year.)

“PK says the show created scenarios that did not happen,” Teddi said on Wednesday, April 29. “What about that crying episode when their home was burglarized and Dorit was hugging Mauricio [Umansky]? Was that created?”

Teddi also accused Dorit, 49, of manipulating story lines on RHOBH throughout her eight years on the Bravo reality show.

“[PK] said he began to look at Dorit wondering, ‘Who are you?’” Teddi told her podcast listeners. “At that moment, I was wondering, ‘Did he mean because of the plastic surgery or how she mentally was acting?’”

Dorit has repeatedly denied having plastic surgery. She responded to Teddi’s snarky comments via the “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast’s Instagram account on Wednesday.

“Sad to see someone who once called me a friend go this low,” Dorit wrote.

On Friday’s “Two Ts in a Pod” episode, Teddi pointed out that there has been friction in her relationship with Dorit dating back two years.

“She’s so offended that I made the ill-fitted joke … It’s a big f***ing dig, it’s an a**hole thing to say,” she admitted. “But for her to comment, saying, ‘For someone who once was my friend.’ Dorit said on the [RHOBH] after show in 2024 that she and I were never really friends. I don’t need to point out the things that I did for Dorit, like I was the first one there when her house was burglarized or that I went to all of her kids’ birthday parties. None of that matters.”

Teddi accused Dorit of being the only person in their friend group not to support her when she was diagnosed with multiple brain tumors. (Teddi went public with her brain tumor diagnosis in February 2025.)

“What I will have to say is that if you’re going to hold someone to the fire and consider them a good friend or a bad friend versus what they say or what they do, Dorit is the only one of my ‘used to be friends’ that did not show up to the hospital for me,” Teddi alleged. “She did not call me. She did not do the food train. Erika [Jayne] was there, [Lisa] Rinna was there, [Tamra Judge was] there, Kyle [Richards] was there. … I never heard a [word from Dorit]. If she can be this upset that people aren’t going to 100 percent bow down and pretend that the way her behavior this year is appropriate, I think she has been rude to everyone throughout the entire season. She has been rude to everyone.”

Elsewhere in the podcast episode, Teddi stressed that she does feel sympathy for Dorit over her divorce from PK, 58.

“I hate [that] what Dorit’s going through turned her the way that she is, which is very angry,” she said. “We’re all going through it in different ways and different reasons. … I will say, you can’t go for somebody’s jugular and act like they’re hurting you in a time where you’re being hurt when you weren’t even there when the person you were supposedly good friends with was dying. Not a peep. This bugs me and it makes me side with everybody else but her.”
