Last night, King Carl XVI Gustaf celebrated his 80th birthday at the Royal Palace in Stockholm, Sweden. Royals from around Europe (with the exception of the UK) as well as two from Thailand, attended the gala in all their finery. (Standout tiara moments included Queen Mary of Denmark, who converted a historical bracelet into a tiara, and King Carl Gustaf’s wife Queen Silvia, who chose the dramatic Braganza Tiara.)
The royal jewels were on full display when the royals all gathered for a group portrait, joined by Iceland and Finland’s first couples. Here, a guide to who’s who in the photograph:
