Prince George has proven to be a cheeky royal, as he used a fake name to trick a dog walker. The young prince, who was five years old when on a walk with his grandmother, Carole Middleton, in 2019.
They came across a woman walking her dog when George went over to pet the animal. To engage in some friendly small talk, the woman, who knew who George was, asked him what his name was.
Astonishingly, he told her that his name was Archie, before his cousin with the same name was even born. The dogwaler told The Sun: “I was asked by a police minder not to take a photo of the children, which I didn’t, but George started stroking my dog.
“Just to be friendly I engaged in a bit of small talk and I asked George what his name was, even though obviously I knew it.
“To my astonishment he said ‘I’m called Archie’ with a big smile on his face. I don’t know why he calls himself Archie but kids often play with their names and I think it’s lovely.”
