The Devil Wears Prada 2 is already raking in some serious box office numbers, grossing US$233 million worldwide in its opening weekend. Brammall has been in the industry for some time now. He started his career with the TV movie The Alice in 2004, followed by its spin-off series. Later, he gained widespread recognition for his roles in various Australian TV series and films, including playing Gordon in the comedy series Colin From Accounts, Sergeant James Hayes in Glitch, Leo Taylor in Offspring, and Andy Bouchard in the American supernatural drama series, Evil. He will also star in the upcoming Apple TV series, The Dispatcher.
He almost turned down the role of Peter
In an interview with The Sydney Morning Herald, Brammall explained that he didn’t think he would get the role in such a major blockbuster film – and almost didn’t even audition for it.
“It wasn’t self-doubt so much, it was pragmatics,” he explained. “When they asked me to audition – I’m 50, I’ve been around the block, I’ve been working as an actor for many, many years, and I’ve put down a lot of auditions for a lot of big things going, ‘Oh, this could be it.’
