Kendra Duggar’s family has launched a new fundraiser for their children’s music school after clarifying their previous GoFundMe was to cover housing costs and not their son-in-law Joseph Duggar’s legal expenses.

The Caldwell family posted a link to their fundraiser for the Falls Baptist Music School via Instagram Stories on Wednesday, May 6. According to its Giving Day page, Kendra’s mother, Christina Caldwell, has organized a “24 hour music fundraiser” to help “keep the tuition down.”

“We have a goal to raise $100 per child. (we have 7 in the music school.) This will help assist low cost of tuition,” the post read. “Our children have each chosen their instrument and have such a love for it they even bring their instruments on vacation! Would you consider investing into this generation, every single dollar counts!”

Kendra’s siblings, Micah, 22, Nathan, 19, Timothy, 17, Olivia, 14, Jesiah, 11, Isaiah, 7, and Moriah, 4, all attend the institution . The page also included photos of the group displaying their passion for music.

Micah has been playing the viola for four years while Nathan and Timothy have worked with the cello for three years. Olivia, Jesiah, Isaiah and Moriah selected the violin as their instrument.

“Moriah will be 5 this month! She was practically born [with] a violin in her hands!” the post read alongside a snap of the child playing for her family. “She plays her violin as much as her toys. She has studied for 2 years.”

In addition to studying music, the Caldwell kids perform at various functions including church, the annual Christmas program as well as for friends and family.

The fundraiser’s goal is $2,000 and they have received $100 at the time of publication.

Us Weekly has reached out to the Caldwell family’s spokesperson for comment.

Prior to their music fundraiser, Kendra’s father, Paul Caldwell, organized a GoFundMe for assistance in covering “displacement expenses” back in April. (Joseph was arrested in March on molestation allegations, to which he has pleaded not guilty. Days later, Kendra and Joseph were both charged with four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor and four counts of false imprisonment. The couple’s endangerment case is unrelated to the molestation allegations.)

“My name [is] Paul Caldwell [and I] am overseeing the transfer of the funds to our family’s account,” he shared. “I am the father of the family receiving the money,” read the GoFundMe page. “The displacement fees will be for moving expenses, housing costs such as rent until we can find a place to stay more permanently.”

Paul reiterated that the money raised would not go towards the family’s legal expenses.

Later that month, Paul revealed in an update that the family had lost their housing and employment amid the scandal.

“We are willing to stand for the protection of the weak and vulnerable in society, because of that stand we have been put in a situation that has [caused] the [loss] of our current housing situation and employment, having to relocate on such short notice has left us in a bit of [a] financial struggle,” his message read. “We also need to have some time to get some much needed counseling.”
