In many of her biggest roles, Margot Robbie has transformed into characters with decidedly colorful wardrobes, whether it’s an ice skater in sparkly unitards or a Barbie doll who never tires of pink. However, when she’s off duty, Robbie tends to embrace a more sleek and understated wardrobe, which is exactly what she chose this week, as she stepped out in New York City in the wake of fashion’s biggest night.
On Tuesday, the Wuthering Heights star was seen out and about in Chinatown, looking so chic in a few straight-off-the-runway pieces from Chanel.
The Oscar nominee began with a few basics, including a black scoop-neck tank and baggy, stormy high-waisted jeans—nothing too out of the ordinary. However, she gave the classic combo a dressy upgrade, courtesy of a black plaid, oversize blazer, pulled from the Chanel Fall/Winter 2026 ready-to-wear collection by Matthieu Blazy.
Her sharp coat was punctuated with golden, knotty buttons, which decorated the front of the jacket, the cuffs, and one of the lapels, like a brooch. And to match her blazer, Robbie carried a quilted black double-flap bag, which featured a golden chain strap and matching hardware.
And that was not all for the longtime Chanel ambassador. Robbie completed her look with a pair of cream mules with black-dipped toes, some chunky cat-eye sunglasses, and a few gold rings, while her new choppy bob was left down in easy waves.
The Met Gala style parade may be over, but Robbie is here to prove that even day-to-day, there’s always plenty of inspiring new fashion to feast upon.
