The King and Queen were proudly surrounded by members of the Royal Family who appear to make up the current working royals. The Prince and Princess of Wales, Princess Anne, Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie were all pictured alongside Their Majesties.
The picture also shows lesser-known royals – the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, the Duke of Kent and Princess Alexandra – standing alongside the King and Queen.
Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 11, and eight-year-old Prince Louis – who were not present for the celebrations earlier this month – will also likely become working royals in the future.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down back in 2020, with the couple now firmly settled into a life away from the restraints of the Firm in the US.
Speaking to ITV News back in April, Harry shared that he does not recognise the description of himself as “not a working royal”.
Harry, speaking during a surprise visit to Ukraine, said: “I will always be part of the royal family and I’m here working and doing the very thing that I was born to do, and I enjoy doing it.
“I enjoy being able to do these trips and come and support the people that I’ve met before, the friends that I’ve made, and hopefully bringing attention to issues that for one reason or another drop out of the news because something else has popped up.”
