The festival promises 10 hours of music, food, drinks, and art, stepping in as Boston Calling takes a break this year.
Boston’s newest music tradition is set to launch this Saturday, as the Mojo Boston Music Festival takes over City Hall Plaza.
Described by organizers as “Boston’s newest tradition in the heart of the city,” the 10-hour event promises a full day of indie and house music, food, drinks, and live art.
The event is led by Local Mojo, a group of former UMass students dedicated to boosting local music scenes.
The new festival arrives as the annual Boston Calling music festival takes a break for the year.
Starting at 12 p.m., two stages will feature a mix of national and local bands and DJs.
Tickets are $40 each and can be purchased via Local Mojo’s website.
Organizers shared in an Instagram post that tickets are selling faster than expected, projecting a sell-out before Saturday. People from all over New England are purchasing tickets, they added.
“Turns out, Mojo Boston is going to be a lot bigger than anticipated,” organizers wrote in the post.
Local Mojo hosts two other annual music festivals — Mojofest Amherst and Mojofest Happy Valley, both of which have already taken place this year.

Last week on Instagram, Local Mojo announced the full festival line-up, which includes both local and international artists.
Main stage:
- 12 – 12:30 — Lazarus
- 1 – 1:30 — Autumn Drive
- 2 – 2:45 — Overserved Again
- 3:15 – 4 — Morrissey Blvd
- 4:30 – 5:30 — The Gringos
- 6 – 7:15 — The Bends
- 7:45 – 9 — Discip
- 9:15 – 10:30 — AC Slater
Deck stage:
- 12:30 – 1 — Dew Galvin, Jake Jordan, and Em Donovan
- 1:30 – 2 — Rayvino and Blxss
- 2:45 – 3:15 — Rico Suave
- 4 – 4:30 — CHALANT
- 5:30 – 6 — SuperSmashBroz
- 7:15 – 7:45 — Costa
