A Jedi, Batman, and Captain Picard walk into downtown Indianapolis — that’s not the setup for a joke. PopCon, a three-day celebration of the pop culture universe, is this weekend.
Celebrities, cosplayers, and fellow geeks from every fandom are expected to flock to the Indiana Convention Center starting Friday afternoon. Here’s what to know about this year’s event and what IndyStar is seeing at PopCon Indy.

Just like last year, there’s lots of things to do at PopCon Indy. Here are some of the familiar highlights:
When the vendor floor opens at PopCon Indy 2026
A schedule for PopCon Indy shows vendor floor hours are as follows:
Saturday, May 9: 10:30 a.m.-7 pm.
Sunday, May 10: 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
VIP ticket-holders can walk in 30 minutes ahead of the general public. Program hours Fri.-Sat. extend to 11 p.m.
How much are tickets to PopCon Indy 2026?
On May 8, three-day tickets to PopCon Indy were selling online for roughly $70. Day passes ranged from $41-$47. Children younger than 10 get in free with the purchase of an adult ticket. VIP tickets are also available.

Gabe Kunda, voice actor of Lock Lock in “My Hero Academia.”
